Greetings to all and a special welcome to everyone that has joined us since our last blog post.

It has been a long time since our last post. We were busy wrapping up some long-time projects and setting things up for a bright future.

What have we done since our last post?

We had a programmer transfer our entire static HTML website over to this WordPress platform. For our particular needs this is a huge improvement and will save us a lot of time every week. If you have visited this site in the last few weeks it has been in various stages of functionality. We are finally done with the major things and there are just a few fine tunings left. (Our logo is still showing up blurry so we need to fix that soon.)

A few important updates:

You will see the “From” email address for our newsletter is now almostpassive@gmail (dot) com. Any questions or comments you have may be directed to that address.

We are going back to our standard email subject line. Each newsletter will have the title: Almost Passive Newsletter (and the date). This will make it easier to find if you plan to read it later and it will separate it from the unwanted messages you may be receiving. (You may of course unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.)

We will now be sending this newsletter every Wednesday or Thursday. This will help us to keep it short and to the point and you will know when to expect it. Many times we will simply be pointing you to a new article or blog post on this website. The newsletter will also be posted here if you prefer to read it online instead of with your email.

New Feature

With each weekly newsletter/blog we will now be including a short tip and a motivating quote as you can now read below.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Unless you try to do something beyond what
you have already mastered, you will never grow.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There is a lot to think about in that quote. We should never be afraid to try something new or to expand our goals. Of course it is important to be cautious and to avoid being reckless or impetuous. However, we should never let fear stop us from any growth at all. When we learn something new the best way to imbed it in our memories is to immediately try to implement it through action. Will we make mistakes this way? We certainly will fall short at times. The mistakes or failures will actually help our growth though and lead to long term progress towards our goals.

Why not try to master something new this week? Do some research. Make a plan. Then take some action to make it happen. You may succeed or you may fail. Either way you will feel good that you tried to grow and you will be better prepared for your next attempt.

Wishing you success, Janice and Mark
