It is currently going through some growing pains. In the initial stages thousands of members joined and almost everyone that upgraded was making money. There were some understandable glitches as it was growing much faster than any of the founders had anticipated. Each matter was dealt with and Club Asteria kept improving month by month.

An obvious problem was the generous compensation plan. A share of all profits was paid to upgraded members. A member could also purchase Asterios which would 1) increase their revenue share and 2) could be compounded. Many members were making a lot of money every week without making any purchases and without referring new members.

What is Club Asteria doing to re-organize and move forward?

A recent newsletter stated they are developing new products and programs. These should be new sources of income which ideally will help re-start Club Asteria. Since they promised this over a month ago why is it taking so long? As they explained, each product and program has to meet many requirements such as quality control, global transporting and delivery issues, importing laws, and pricing models. There explanation sounds reasonable to us. Actually, we are happy to see them taking their time to get it right rather than rushing through things that do not work long term.

To grow you business you will want to consider investing money in such things as advertising, outsourcing, equipment, etc. The key is to make sure you are always getting a good return on your investment. Monitor your spending closely or you can burn through a lot of money very fast and see no return on your investment. I remember the first time I used Google adwords. I invested $100 and received exactly $00.00 for my advertising. The problem was not with Google but with me. I had not researched and effectively tested. I have friends that spend thousands of dollars every month on advertising. It is well worth it though because they make much more in return. It is also very important to monitor how you use your time. It is very easy to spend lots of time that turns out to be wasted. However, you will often reap huge rewards by sticking to your goals. There are numerous examples of authors sending in manuscripts and being rejected by dozens of publishers before finally getting it accepted. There are other examples of entrepreneurs failing for many years before finally becoming successful. They may have used a number of skills and qualities during the struggling years. The most important thing though is they did not quit.

There are so many qualities and skills needed to succeed online that none of us can master them all. So the key involves 1) taking advantage of your strengths and 2) keep improving in your weaker areas. Even when you are doing extremely well, there will be challenges and disappointments in some aspects of your online business.

There are at least five things that may help when you are feeling discouraged:

1. Give yourself a pat on the back or some reward when you reach short term goals. It is very easy to concentrate too much on long term goals. This may cause you to ignore the joy and satisfaction that should come from smaller accomplishments.

2. Take a few moments and write down the main reasons you decided to start an online business. This simple step should help you concentrate on the positive aspects of your business. It may even help you to appreciate benefits that you originally had not thought about when you first started working online.

3. Be careful not to isolate yourself. I can work for hours at the computer in my own little world. For some interaction with other marketers I like to pop in now and then to the Warrior Forum.
